Voice chat worked for a while and then stopped. Reforming the party made it work again for a couple of minutes and then the voice part stopped working.

I think it's best to give your kids their own gamertags. That way they can unlock their own achievements, have their own game saves etc. and if they're old enough to play online, they can have their own friends lists.
